I have many personal memories associated with this building,” said Heydar Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the opening ceremony of the office center. “At the beginning of the century, this building served workers of the oil industry and businesspeople working in the oil sector. By the end of the 20th century, it became part of LUKOIL, a company holding a prominent place in the modern oil industry.
